There is a lot more to Christopher Atteo than working hard as a broker and financial services specialist, although it sometimes seems like all he has ever done is work. It’s no wonder. At the tender age of nine, Chris’ father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which rendered him unable to work. From Chris’ perspective, as the oldest of four siblings, he had to work to help the family. That work ethic continues to this day. After high school, Christopher Atteo took several financial courses at State University of New York (SUNY) in Farmingdale and then went on to test for licenses in Series 7 and 63. Armed with those, he became a broker. In the last half of the 1990s, Chris worked for several smaller-tier financial firms before spending almost a year with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Following that he spent from 2001-2005 working for three separate firms on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. At the same time, he earned both a Series 55 and a Series 24 license, so that he could expand the services he could offer. Over the course of more than 20 years, Christopher Atteo has worked with numerous investment firms and he has also traded for himself at times. With so much experience, he has developed a strong understanding of the global equity markets and derivatives from many different perspectives. Chris also has read hundreds of books and transcripts and learned about many investment strategies that way. He has also worked to learn economics, risk management, diversification and asset allocation, and he has studied how the greatest fund managers in the world became so successful. All of that makes Christopher Atteo a better trader and investor. |
